Anniston officials announced that the Regional Medical Center (RMC) will receive two loans totaling $44 million from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds will pay off debts and finance capital improvements to attract more patients and healthcare providers. The Health Care Authority of Anniston is securing the loans, which were approved by the Anniston City Council. The first loan of $34 million addresses debts, while the second loan of $10 million will fund necessary upgrades.
