Jana McGinnis, the longtime Jacksonville State softball coach, has announced her retirement after 31 seasons, during which she achieved 1,038 victories. A Spring Garden native, McGinnis led the Gamecocks to 18 conference championships and seven NCAA tournament appearances, ranking in the Top 30 for all-time Division I coaching victories. In a letter to Jax State supporters, she expressed her desire to spend more time with her family.
