  • Ethanol fuel in a boat- It's a problem. Especially when your boat sits up for the winter.  See ethanol is what scientist call hygroscopic- which means it pulls water from the air like a sponge and engines don't like that.  To help stop this consider adding an ethanol fuel treatment to your gas tank.  There are a few of them out there. Give us a call and we'd be happy to help you get not only the right ethanol treatment but can answer any questions about other fuel additives you may be curious about using. 256-442-2588 call or text.

  • Maintaining a battery during storage months- Most people are unaware that a battery in a boat will lose its charge over time even when the boat isn't being used.  Making sure the battery is clean and periodic charging's once every couple of months is a great way to maintain it.  Better yet- you can leave a trickle charger hooked to one all winter and it will maintain the battery without you having to do it.  There are other tricks you can do to maintain marine batteries for long periods of storage or even from weekend to weekend during the boating season. Give us a call or text us at 256-442-2588 and we can help set up your battery maintenance for your boat and how you use it.

  • Boat cleaning tips:  A quick cleaning before covering and storing the boat is always a good idea but sometimes you can put the cover on the boat when it is still wet. Never a good idea if it can be helped because it can lead to mold and mildew growth.  Sometimes life takes over and the boat gets stored dirty.  Don't worry we keep all sorts of cleaning agents that can help...or we can set you up with our partners Elite Car Spa and have them do the tedious cleaning for you.
