UPDATE: Significant Severe Weather Outbreak Possible Today through Tomorrow Morning

From the National Weather Service office in Birmingham, AL:

SEVERE UPDATE: A multi-faceted, significant severe weather episode is expected to unravel in two rounds. The first will begin late this evening through 8 AM Saturday, affecting areas primarily along & west of I-65.  After a lull of about 3 to 4 hours, the second more significant wave of severe weather will arrive as early as Noon Saturday. Threats include tornadoes, some of which could be strong/violent, damaging wind gusts of 60-70 mph, and large hail. The severe weather threat will end from west to east late tomorrow, ending as late as 3 AM Sunday morning in the far southeast.
